Tungsten plate is widely used in the construction of furnace tooling and
parts and as a feedstock for the fabrication of parts for
the electronics and semiconductor industries. Surface can be
supplied in a shiny or matte; dependent upon thickness
and width parameters.

Heat Treatment
Tungsten flat products are rolled and annealed to provide
the optimum condition for the desired end using.
The target plate
The
target plate is a flat rectangle of known color and
brightness, fixed to the spacecraft so the instruments on
the movable scan platform (cameras, infrared instrument,
etc.) can point to a predictable target for calibration
purposes.
