Tungsten Wire Application - Mercury Lamp

Tungsten application is to series connect between mercury quartz in lamp. A mercury lamp is a gas discharge lamp that uses an electric arc through vaporized mercury to produce light. The arc discharge is generally confined to a small fused quartz arc tube mounted within a larger borosilicate glass bulb. It can be divided into low-pressure mercury lamp, high pressure mercury lamp and ultra-high pressure mercury lamp. When the low-pressure mercury lamp lights, mercury vapor pressure is less than one atmosphere, then the main wavelength of mercury atoms is 253.7nm ultraviolet radiation.

When the tungsten wire used in mercury lamp, the glass wall of the case is not coated with phosphor, and between the shell and the quartz tube series tungsten wire, it is used as a ballast, which can radiate red light to improve light color. Such high-pressure mercury lamp incandescent is easy to use, it can be connected directly to the 220V AC power source, its fluorescent luminous efficiency is higher than incandescent lamps. The central portion of the discharge tube of lamp is made of quartz glass, filled with a certain amount of mercury and argon. Use tungsten as electrode and an alkaline earth metal oxide electron emitting material are filled.

Storage: Sealed in cool place, avoid direct glare.
1.It must be equipped with the appropriate specifications of the transformer and capacitor.
2.The tube surface must be wiped with absolute ethyl alcohol before using, and dont't touch with bare hands.
3. Strong ultraviolet radiation can burn the eyes and skin, it should be avoided direct exposure to light.
4. Lamp accidentally broken, causing the mercury vapor emissions, operatos should leave the site immediately.
