WT10 Thoriated Tungsten Electrode

WT10

Introduction

Thoriated tungsten electrode can be divided into WT10, WT20, WT30, and WT40 depending the content of thorium oxide. Different trademarks have different color of their tips. The tip of the WT10 thoriated wolfram electrode thorium is yellow.

Charateristic

Because of the good current capacity of thorium tungsten electrode WT10, and a low work function, it is easier to arc and it has a longer life time. The welding performance of thorium tungsten electrode WT10 is superior to the pure one. Its tungsten content is more than 98.4% and it has the highest content of tungsten in all wolfram electrodes.

Application

Thanks to excellent combination performance, especially powerful current carrying performance, thorium tungsten electrode is mainly used in DC welding for steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys and titanium. While WT10 tungsten thorium electrode welding, its electrode tip can keep cuspidal, so it is widely used in welding steel pipe under a direct current.

Basic Parameter

Thoriated tungsten electrode is mainly used in DC negative electrode or carbon, stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium alloys and other positive electrodes. Generally speaking, 2% thoriated oxide content of thoriated tungsten electrode than 1% of the amount of thoriated tungsten electrode has a better performance.
