1.What’s Silver Tungsten Electrode?
Silver tungsten electrode (AgW) is a composite electrode made of silver (Ag) and tungsten (W). Due to the significant difference in melting points and the immiscibility of silver and tungsten, the electrode cannot be produced by conventional melting methods. Instead, it is manufactured using powder metallurgy and infiltration processes. Silver tungsten electrode combines excellent electrical and thermal conductivity of silver with high melting point, hardness, and wear resistance of tungsten.

(1) Excellent Arc Erosion Resistance: The tungsten framework maintains structural integrity under strong arc impact, reducing overall electrode wear.

(3) Anti-Welding Resistance: The surface is resistant to cold welding and fusion welding during high-current make-and-break operations.

(3) Resistance Welding Electrodes: Used for spot welding, seam welding, and welding of copper and copper alloys with high conductivity.
