Tungsten needle electrode is a needle-shaped functional electrode manufactured from high-purity tungsten or tungsten-based alloys. It is produced through electrochemical polishing or precision mechanical grinding. The tip can be processed into micron-scale or even submicron-scale sharp structures, providing highly concentrated electric field intensity for precise current conduction and directional discharge in micro-scale areas. Tungsten needle electrode is widely used in Micro-TIG welding and minimally invasive medical electrosurgery.
