A spiral tungsten heater is a resistive heating element wound from single or stranded tungsten wire. As a widely utilized heating component, its helical structure increases electrical resistance and thermal output within a limited spatial volume. This design facilitates rapid heating and uniform heat distribution while reducing the risk of localized hot spots. It is suitable for vacuum applications requiring rapid temperature elevation and localized thermal zones.
Spiral tungsten heaters are manufactured from high-purity tungsten materials or doped tungsten alloys to enhance high-temperature stability. This allows the elements to maintain structural integrity at operating temperatures exceeding 2000°C while exhibiting low vapor pressure characteristics.
Spiral tungsten heaters are classified into single and double spiral structures. Double spiral tungsten heater utilizes a dual-layer structure to provide concentrated heating, improved thermal field uniformity, and enhanced structural stability, making it suitable for applications requiring precise temperature uniformity.
