It is fabricated from high purity tungsten wire or doped tungsten wire through precision coiling, forming, and specialized vacuum heat treatment. Working Principle of CTIA’s Tungsten Heater
The tungsten heater generates Joule heat when energized, transferring heat to the cathode material and raising it to the temperature required for thermionic emission. Electrons overcome the work function under high vacuum conditions and are emitted, then accelerated by an electric field to form a directional electron beam, enabling stable signal or energy output.
