CTIA's Tungsten Heater in Thermal Evaporation

Tungsten heater is a resistive tungsten heating element designed for vacuum thermal evaporation processes to heat and vaporize coating materials such as aluminum, chromium, gold, and silver, forming thin films on substrate surfaces. The tungsten heating element is made of high-purity tungsten wire or doped tungsten wire through precision stranding, winding, pressing forming, and surface treatment processes.

High-vacuum evaporation conditions place strict demands on material performance, requiring tungsten heater to maintain stable operation during continuous thermal loading. CTIA’s tungsten heater has the following characteristics:
(1) High Temperature Resistance: With a melting point of about 3410℃, tungsten heater withstands the high temperatures required for material vaporization without melting or deformation.
(2) Low Contamination: Extremely low vapor pressure under high temperature and high vacuum conditions minimizes material evaporation from the heater, ensuring high film purity and optical performance.
(3) Good Wettability: Tungsten heater shows excellent wetting behavior with various metal materials, enabling uniform spreading of molten metals and stable evaporation rate with consistent film thickness.
(4) Structural Stability: Special annealing treatment improves creep resistance, maintaining structural integrity under repeated thermal shock and extending service life.
