What is Tungsten Twisted Wire?
Tungsten twisted wire is a structural material formed by twisting two or more high-purity tungsten wires together. It is also known as stranded tungsten wire and is widely used in high-temperature heating applications.
The twisted structure provides higher mechanical strength and improved stability under thermal stress compared with single tungsten wire. By distributing mechanical load across multiple strands, tungsten twisted wire reduces deformation and extends service life in high-temperature environments.
It also improves heat distribution by forming a more uniform thermal conduction path, resulting in stable and consistent heating performance in vacuum evaporation and coating processes.
Tungsten twisted wire is one of the most commonly used heating materials in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) processes for metal evaporation, optical coating, and electronic device manufacturing applications.
